Cookie Policy

1. About this policy
Tasmanian Electrical Services Pty Ltd (ABN 76 130 820 307), referred to in this policy as ‘Tasmanian Electrical Services’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’, operates in Tasmania, Australia. This Cookie Policy explains cookies, browser storage and similar technologies associated with our website. Read it together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information and how to contact us.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information a website asks your browser to store. They can support functions such as maintaining a session or remembering a preference.
Local storage and session storage are other ways a website can store information in your browser. They are not the same as cookies. Website providers can also receive technical information when your browser requests a page, script, image or map, even if no cookie is set.
Depending on the technology involved, information can include an identifier, a service setting, your IP address, browser details, requested resources and access times. Some technical information can be personal information when it identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.
3. Website services and browser technologies
Website platform
Our website uses Base44. The website code uses local browser storage for platform configuration and navigation-related values. Hosting and delivery services also process technical requests needed to return website content. This does not mean that every cookie used on Base44’s own corporate website is used on our website.
Enquiry form
Our enquiry form is embedded from Jotform. Loading and using it connects your browser to Jotform and its supporting services. These services can receive technical information and, when you submit the form, the enquiry information you provide.
Depending on the form’s configuration, cookies or similar technologies may support form operation, session handling, security or protection against automated abuse. Not every technology offered by Jotform is necessarily enabled on our form. Jotform’s Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy provide further information about its services.
Maps
The map showing our offices uses externally supplied map images. Your browser requests these resources from the map provider, which can receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and the map area requested. A map request can disclose this information without setting a cookie.
The map attribution identifies the map data or service providers. Selecting an external directions link takes you to the relevant mapping service.
External links
Links to external websites, including Google Maps and Facebook, are different from embedded tracking tools. Following an external link can allow the destination website to use its own cookies and technologies under its own policies.
4. Purposes and optional tracking
Website technologies can support content delivery, platform settings, form operation, security and troubleshooting. These purposes are different from advertising or cross-site tracking.
Submitting an enquiry does not itself authorise unrelated advertising or marketing. Any optional analytics or advertising tools used on this website must be described accurately, with the choices available for those tools. We do not treat a provider’s entire suite of technologies as necessary simply because we use one of its services.
5. Managing cookies and browser storage
Your browser settings allow you to review, restrict or delete cookies and other stored website data. Depending on your browser, you can also restrict third-party cookies or clear data for an individual website.
Blocking or deleting some storage can affect website features or the embedded form. You can still contact us by telephone or email instead of using the form.
Browser cookie settings do not necessarily prevent all technical information from being transmitted. For example, an external form or map provider can still receive a request needed to load its content. Clearing cookies also does not delete an enquiry you have already submitted; contact us about personal-information requests.
Where a website-specific preference control is available, it applies only to the technologies identified by that control. It does not automatically control unrelated websites you visit through external links.
6. How long information stays on your device
Some cookies last for a browsing session. Others have an expiry date or remain until deleted. Local browser storage may remain until the website removes it or you clear it. The duration depends on the particular technology and configuration; it is separate from how long we retain customer or enquiry records.
7. Third-party services and overseas handling
External providers may process technical information outside Australia. Our Privacy Policy explains overseas handling associated with our website and enquiry services. Providers’ policies give additional information about their operations.
8. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when website technologies or practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
For questions about cookies or website privacy, contact office@taselectrical.com.au or telephone (03) 6382 1066.
